In a significant move to curb hoarding, the government has imposed strict wheat stock limits in Anand district. District supply officials, led by JS Patel and Collector Praveen Chaudhary, have initiated an impromptu investigation at key trading hubs like the Avanyu Super Mart at Karmasad Deemart and Gallery Mall in Karmsad, Anand.
Traders including wholesalers, retailers, millers, importers, and processors are now required to register on the government portal and update their stock details every Friday. According to the central order, wholesalers can hold up to 250 metric tonnes, while retailers and large chain outlets have specific limits per outlet. This regulation aims to ensure a fair distribution of wheat and prevent excessive stock hoarding.
With thorough physical verification by eight teams, the investigation has confirmed that the online stock records match the physical inventories. This policy is a significant step toward protecting consumer interests and stabilizing the market.

કારમસદ, આણંદ ખાતે આવેલા Avanyu Super Mart અને Gallery Mall ની બાજુમાં, હોલસેલર્સ, રિટેલર્સ, મિલર્સ, આયાતકારો અને પ્રોસેસર્સને સરકારના પોર્ટલ પર રજીસ્ટર કરવા અને દર શુક્રવારે તેમની સ્ટોક વિગતો અપડેટ કરવા અનુરોધ કરવામાં આવ્યો છે. કેન્દ્રિય ઓર્ડર મુજબ, હોલસેલર્સ માટે 250 મેટ્રિક ટન, રિટેલર્સ અને મોટા ચેઇન આઉટલેટ માટે નિશ્ચિત સ્ટોક લીમીટ લગાડવામાં આવી છે.
આ તપાસણી દરમિયાન 8 ટીમોએ ફિઝિકલ વેરિફિકેશન કરી અને શોધી કાઢ્યું કે ઓનલાઇન માહિતી બરાબર છે. આ પગલાથી નાગરિકોને સુરક્ષિત અને ન્યાયસંગત માલ પુરવઠો મળશે અને બજારમાં સંતુલન જાળવવામાં આવશે.
